Mango Class Timetable

Phonics: Please ensure your child's phonic wallets (with their books) comes into school every day so they have it available when it needs changing. The book changing day will differ depending on which group they are in and where they are in the teaching cycle. We assess the children every half term and will keep you informed of where they are and what support you can give them.

Reading: We encourage the children to read their phonics book at least three times a week. The children are already familiar with the phonics books that have been sent home. This is so the children can focus on fluency and speed of reading at home.

Mango class have PE on:

Monday indoor PE

Thursday outdoor PE

Please make sure your child is wearing the correct PE kit on PE days. The school PE kit is: trainers, black jogging bottoms, white t-shirt and  a black jumper. Please also ensure your child is not wearing any jewellery and if they have long hair that it is tied up.

We visit the school library every Thursday. We hope you will then enjoy reading your child's new library book to them when they bring it home. 

If your child does not bring their library book in they will not be able to choose a new book to bring home until the following week.

Homework: homework is set at the end of a half term and this is sent home on parentmail. The children have all half term to complete the homework; please send this to the class email so that the homework can be celebrated with the children.

Spellings: spelling tests take place on a Friday and new spellings will be given at this time. If your child gets all 5 spellings correct they receive a spelling bee sticker.
